A cable is a rope of stitches crossed over itself, and the weight of the yarn decides whether it reads as texture or as architecture. Six-ply at 3 gauge puts it firmly in the second category — the finished sweater is 780g and holds its shape standing up. The cable panel is deliberately off-centre, running left of the front placket line, because a symmetrical cable panel is a fisherman's sweater and this is not. Hand-framing means an operator drives the carriage by hand, one row at a time; a knitter completes about 1.3 of these in a day.

Hand wash only, genuinely
I tested it on a wool cycle against advice and it grew. My fault entirely — they are clear about it.
