Holds its line
I have worn this three winters. It still hangs exactly as it did the day it arrived, which I cannot say for coats at twice the price.
Double-faced wool, unlined
A floor-skimming trench in double-faced Italian wool, drafted without lining so the cloth falls on its own weight. The belt is optional and removable; the coat is cut to be worn open.

Eleven revisions separate this coat from the first Ombre of 2019. The current draft moves the shoulder seam 14mm outboard, which lets the sleeve hang without a roll and keeps the collar flat when the coat is worn open. Double-faced cloth means there is no lining and no facing — every internal seam is closed by hand, which is most of the four days each coat takes.

Six weeks for my size to come back into stock and I would wait again. The unlined construction makes it far lighter than it looks.
Beautifully made. The cut is generous — I took an S where I am normally an M and it is right.
