Half-canvassing puts a floating horsehair chest piece behind the lapel and down to the mid-chest, then fuses the rest. Fully canvassed is better and costs about 40% more; fully fused is cheaper and dies in four years. Half is where the argument actually sits, and we would rather explain that than imply we do the expensive thing. The cloth is a 300g plain-weave with a matte finish, chosen because a suit that shines under a flash reads as cheap in every photograph anyone will ever take of you in it.
